Post An Ad On Craigslist For Free
Craigslist is used by its customers online. Reason being that there’s no dedicated Craigslist app on the Play Store or iOS. Instead, there are many different apps. So it can be really confusing, which one to go for. So instead of the app, we will guide you on how you can post an ad on the Craigslist website. Note 1: Steps are almost the same for both, mobile and desktop devices. However, we are performing the steps using a desktop. Note 2: The ad you post on Craigslist gets expired in 45 days.
Firstly, open the official Craigslist site. For posting ads under some categories, you need to log in to your Craigslist account. So sign up and log in to Craigslist.
By default, Craigslist will detect your location and redirect you to their local site depending on your region. Note: From the right-hand side, you may change the location in order to post an ad for that location. Depending on your location, your ad will be shown in that region and nearby areas.
Next, click on the create a posting option, just above my account. In mobile phones, tap on the post option, adjacent to the account.
Before posting an ad on Craigslist, it’s better you check the list of all the items prohibited for sale. After that, select the type of posting, for example – for sale by owner, service offered, etc. and click on the Continue option.
Now, select a suitable category for your product or service. For example, a table will come under furniture and gym dumbells and rods can come under heavy equipments. After selecting the category, click on continue.
The fields and options on the next page may differ depending on the type of category you choose. However, there are some fields that are going to be similar. Give a suitable name to your post in the posting title. The money you demand for your product or service in the price field. Similarly, add a description, size/ dimensions (if necessary), select condition of your product, suitable contact info and so on. Finally, click on continue.
On the next page, you can attach the pictures of the product to your Craigslist ad by simply clicking on the Add Images option. Using the same option again and again, you can add a total of 24 photos to your ad. After attaching the desired pictures, click on done with images.
Next, your post will be saved as a draft. Simply click on publish to finally post your ad to Craigslist. If you think that your post still needs some editing you can do that by clicking on edit post. Similarly, if you still want to add some photos, do that by clicking on edit images.
To view the ad that you just posted, click on the link given adjacent to View your post at. You can edit your ad anytime you want by clicking on Manage your post.
With these few easy steps, you have finally posted a Craigslist ad with pictures. As your ad gets expired in 45 days, you can renew or repost your ad to keep it on Craigslist after that time.
